Introduction

We are a small friendly club, situated on the eastern outskirts of Worcester, close to junction 7 of the M5, at The Sports Ground, Worcester Norton Sports Club, off Brockhill Lane, Norton.

Croquet is an enjoyable, sociable game that can be played by all people of any age.

At the club we play (and provide coaching in) both principal forms of the game:

  • Golf Croquet, a faster paced game suitable for beginners, which is quick to learn but requires accuracy and tactics to master.
  •
  • Association Croquet, a somewhat more complex game of strategy and high levels of skill, similar in many ways to games like snooker or pool.

Both may be played as singles or doubles and many people enjoy playing both, as skills learned in one form of the game may be applied to the other.

As well as social play, the club runs internal competitions throughout the season and plays matches against other clubs. Our season runs from April to September. Membership is open to anyone from 18 years and new members of any level of experience are very welcome to join the club.
